Question Has anyone successfully used Wise to transfer money from a US account to an Israeli one?

I've tried several times, but I always get a message saying the IBAN is incorrect. I've triple and quadruple checked and it's the correct IBAN provided by the bank, but Wise never accepts it. Has anyone had any success with this? The only thing I've been able to use Wise for is to transfer money from my US account to my own Israeli account because for that it's enough to give them an account number. To transfer to an outside party's Israeli account, they only accept IBAN, and I can't get that to work.

this service is owned by paypal, they charge a small fee as the gap in the exchange rate.

there is another way to avoid fees, i did it before.
for people who have a bank account in israel and also an account in usa.
send shekels in israel with BIT (no fees)
and send dollars to the US account via venmo/zelle (also no fees)
